From the age of 19, Toru Yokoyama was fascinated by 'travel and motorbikes' and spent several years wandering the world, but returned to society when he married his girlfriend, whom he met in India.
After working as a day labourer for Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire Insurance and Mitsui Fudosan Realty, he studied construction technology at the Shinagawa Vocational Technical Training School.
Currently runs a 'landlord business, property consultancy and planning/construction, CAFE'. Based on the experience he gained from his travels, he aims to "create spaces where people can naturally gather and talk together, regardless of race".
He has visited more than 70 countries, cycled through India in half a year, and wandered around Japan's 47 prefectures on a Harley Davidson.
